Day 1: Arrival
Day 1: Arrival – Transfer to Anuradhapura
Upon your arrival at the Bandaranaike International Airport, you’ll be warmly greeted by our local representative at the arrival lounge. From there, begin your journey northward with a scenic 3.5-hour drive to Anuradhapura, one of the island’s ancient capitals.
The drive will offer glimpses of rural life, lush paddy fields, and wildlife-rich countryside, giving you a taste of what’s to come. After check-in at your hotel, the rest of the evening is yours to relax and unwind in preparation for the exciting adventures ahead. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
DAY 2- Full Day Safari
Day 2: Full Day Safari at Wilpattu National Park
After an early breakfast or packed meal, set off for a full-day safari at Wilpattu National Park, Sri Lanka’s largest and one of the most pristine wildlife reserves. Known for its unique “willus” (natural lakes), this park is home to a diverse range of animals including leopards, sloth bears, elephants, spotted deer, and countless species of birds and reptiles.
Your full-day jeep safari will be accompanied by picnic meals, allowing you to truly immerse yourself in the wild without interruption. Return to your hotel in the evening to rest. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
DAY 3- Wilpattu Safari
Day 3: Another Day in the Wild – Wilpattu Safari
Today, you return to Wilpattu National Park for another thrilling full-day safari experience. With its vast, untouched terrain and fewer crowds, Wilpattu offers an excellent chance to encounter elusive wildlife in their natural habitats.
This second day in the park increases your chances of spotting leopards, as well as a variety of raptors, owls, and wetland birds. Your knowledgeable guide will help you interpret animal tracks, behaviors, and bird calls throughout the day.
After a packed lunch in the heart of the park, you’ll continue your exploration before heading back. Overnight stay in Anuradhapura.
DAY 4- Anuradhapura
Day 4: Anuradhapura – Habarana – Minneriya Safari & Night Jeep Drive
After breakfast, you’ll journey to Habarana, a peaceful village surrounded by dense jungle and wildlife reserves, approximately 1.5 hours away.
Upon arrival and check-in, gear up for an evening game drive at Minneriya National Park, world-famous for the gathering of wild elephants, particularly around its large reservoir. You might also spot sambars, toque macaques, and a variety of water birds.
After sunset, switch to a different kind of adventure with a night jeep safari through the Habarana Jungle border, where nocturnal species like civets, owls, and porcupines emerge. Overnight stay in Habarana.
DAY 5-Bird Watching
Day 5: Bird Watching in Sigiriya Sanctuary & Slender Loris Night Walk
This morning begins with a tranquil bird watching tour in the Sigiriya Sanctuary, a lush forest area surrounding the iconic Sigiriya Rock Fortress.
This sanctuary is a haven for endemic and migratory birds such as the Sri Lanka grey hornbill, black-headed cuckooshrike, and crimson-fronted barbet. Later, after dinner, embark on a night walk at Popham's Arboretum, a unique forest reserve established in the 1960s.
Here, with luck, you’ll spot the elusive Slender Loris, a rare nocturnal primate, as well as other nighttime creatures. Overnight stay in Habarana.
DAY 6-Habarana
Day 6: Habarana – Anawilundawa – Negombo
After breakfast, travel towards the coastal town of Negombo, with an enriching stop at the Anawilundawa Bird Sanctuary—one of Sri Lanka’s six RAMSAR wetlands.
This hidden gem is an important habitat for over 150 bird species, including purple herons, painted storks, and black-headed ibises.
The sanctuary, with its combination of freshwater lakes and coastal lagoons, offers a serene birding experience in a less-traveled location. Later, continue to Negombo, a charming seaside town known for its canals and fishing villages. Overnight stay in Negombo.
DAY 7-Departure
Day 7: Negombo – Departure
After breakfast at your hotel, you’ll be transferred to Bandaranaike International Airport for your departure. The journey takes approximately 3 hours, depending on traffic.
With your heart full of memories—from majestic elephants and stealthy leopards to exotic birds and magical forest walks—you leave Sri Lanka with an unforgettable connection to its wild beauty.

* To secure your reservation, you need to make 50% of the total invoice amount as an advance, and the remaining balance should be paid 30 days before the date of arrival.
* If the payment is not received by the due date, we may treat the booking as cancelled.
* For 4* and 5* properties, the full booking amount should be transferred before confirmations.
